The CAMEL (Complete Air Moving and Elevating Lift) is a state of the art air cushion designed to sit up and lift a fallen, but uninjured, person from the floor. With a weight capacity of 700 pounds, the CAMEL can lift individuals of any age and is partictularly useful for lifting very large and bariatric people. In less than 2 minutes, the CAMEL gently lifts a person into a raised, seated position (22" from the floor) ready to stand or transfer. The CAMEL is also designed to lift a backboarded patient from the floor for an easier transfer to a stretcher. The CAMEL is lightweight and battery powered, making it fully portable for use indoors and outdoors. As a force multiplier, the CAMEL allows you to lift the largest patients quicker and safer while requiring fewer personnel.
